I do not hook up – kelly clarkson ...
It is too bad that the music was a little too loud. It absolutely drowned the singer’s voice which could have been fabulous. Her voice has a nice tone but the song’s varied musical range of high and low notes can at times be straining on her voice especially in the chorus.
One can see that she had difficulties in reaching the high notes in the chorus and she settled for her falsetto or just totally gave up hitting the high notes. I think she needs to practise more or should opt for a lower key. And the part at the end of the bridge where she screamed out a note was rather flat and unconvincing.
She also didn’t try to vocalize the song clearly. Perhaps, this is due to the loud music that has totally muffled her voice. Overall, it was a fair attempt at trying to sing a Kelly Clarkson’s song which can be quite an endeavour as Clarkson’s songs usually start with a lower note that escalates to higher and sometimes unreachable notes. And it takes one with a varied musical range and stamina to do that which can only be done successfully by one as talented as the first American Idol winner.
Kelly Clarkson’s second single I Do Not Hook Up is from her fourth studio album All I Ever Wanted. This song is so suitable for her pop rock voice. It has been acclaimed to be the next Kelly Clarkson’s hit after the massive success of My Life Would Suck.
