Considering that the performer in this video just learnt this song the day before she recorded this performance, it is an acceptable performance albeit a few “mess-ups” as she puts it. However, this song is relatively easy to learn as the notes are quite repetitive and pretty boring not like other Nickelback songs. But, if I were to hear the song for the first time, I would say that she has made it her own by adding a little of her singing style. She did sing it melodiously and one can detect the musical range of the song even though the notes to the song can be quite monotonous.

I must mention the fact that she used a web cam which didn’t enhance her performance at all because it made her performance a little distracting. However, she has made an effort to play the guitar adequately and her singing is satisfactory even though she was a little pitchy at times. I’m glad she didn’t try to imitate the raspy sound of Chad Kroeger, the lead singer of Nickelback. That would have been a disaster!
