Knock Me Down is Keri Hilson’s fourth U.S. single in her debut album In A Perfect World featuring the much accomplished singer Ne-Yo and rapper Kanye West. This song is by far Hilson’s most successful single hitting the U.S. billboard at number 3. It was co-written by Hilson and Kanye West. The song received mixed reviews especially because Hilson’s performance in the song was said to be overshadowed by the more distinctive voice of Ne-Yo and Kanye West’s rapping. This song has a mid-tempo rhythm and it’s about being rejected by one’s love. It’s supposed to inspire one to get back up after being rejected.

The group performing Keri Hilson’s song in this video did a marvelous job. Their interpretation of the song was perfect without a doubt. They combined all their voices very well to give a melodious and yet harmonious performance without having one competing against another for more attention.

Their uses of a black and white video instead of colour have made them a unity. The song was accompanied by a guitar played by one of the members of the group but towards the end of the song they sang a capella and that was a wonderful respite from the music as we get to hear their voices more distinctly.

Singing as a group gave them a harmony but when one of them sang solo, we can noticeably hear the special tone in her voice that makes them uniquely individual.

On the whole, I give this group a score of 10 out of 10. Unparallel performance!
